Instead of having some people not get any matches for a week, it would be great if you could just reduce the number of matches for the over-subscribed population so everyone can still be involved each week!
Hi there! Thanks for this! It's more that we actually have an uneven number of males and females, so the matching can be a little awkward if we tried to include everyone. We might try and experiment with providing some people with more matches than others to try and make sure that everyone has at least one for next week.
Would it be possible to have a checklist instead of selecting one city post-grad? It can be a bit difficult for first year MBA students to know for sure where we're targeting, and I'm open to more than one in the list.
Hi there, we are holding off on allowing entries from other schools, partly because of the sheer number of responses we have already (did you know Google only lets you send 2000 emails a day, even for business customers? We didn’t either, until we tried with the matches!). There is also some element of just wanting to make sure that those in the pool are reasonably similar in terms of demographics (as the bschool demographic is), as we are not at the moment collecting demographic information.
For those of us getting matches who are both men and women, it would be nice if you told us the gender of the match - it's not necessarily obvious from these identity hiding emails. This affects how I would reach out and respond.
Not sure what the matching algorithm is, but if it's possible to get more variety in where people are in school, that would be amazing. (Not that Yale isn't great...)
Hi there, you are randomly matched across the schools so the likelihood of getting 5 matches all from the same school are pretty low. How weird that it happened!
Hi there! We're sending them out in batches over the weekend - google only lets us send emails to 500 external recipients a day, so we have to do it with waiting in between.
Hi there! Yes, we will send out a new sign-up form later next week for Round 3. We will be asking everyone to sign up for every round so that we can ensure that everyone is an active participant.
Hi there, this actually was intentional due to the uneven number of males and females - we unfortunately had to give some more matches than others to include everyone in the process and make the math work.
I just got matches for the next round and I’m male and all my matches say male (this is new for it to say) with the emails looking like they could belong to guys or girls. did this happen to others? The email also said round 2
Hi there - the Round 2 was a typo. We do the matching by orientation - if you intended to be matched with females, you may have filled the form incorrectly in the "interested in" field.
I didn't get the email with matches for Round 3 and I'm pretty sure I signed up before the deadline. Did I mess up my registration or are they still going out?
Hi there, we just sent out the last of the matches last night, so you should have received them now! If not, please reach out to us at [email protected] or send us a chat via this website.
Hey thanks for the initiative. I submitted my info this past Friday. Wondering when the result would be published. I noticed that a previous discussion said the results will be distributed over the weekend so just want to check in. Thanks.
Hi,

Thanks for doing this! It would be great if there were a way to match based on what city you'll be in next year - whether that's school or graduating.
Hi there! Great idea - we'll definitely include that for Round 3!
For the cities, are you differentiating between NY/NYC/New York City since it's a free entry field?
Can we include a TBD option for location? Some folks may be open to a couple cities...

Hi! Is there any way we can include other (non-bschool) graduate schools?

Hi there - the email you receive from us today or tomorrow should include the gender!

@LIB Admin It was four, but still :) Thanks, got it!
When do the R2 matches go out? Almost feels like waiting for admission decisions 🤣

Will there be a chance to sign up for Round 3 if we missed Round 2 and didn't get Round 1 matches?

Just FYI your script seems to have gotten messed up this round -- I personally got four matches and a friend got ten (and is overwhelmed, haha)

I never got the email with the matches
Hi there, please contact [email protected] with the email address you used and we can look into this for you.
Any chance you could incorporate age range into the algorithm? One of my matches is 10 years younger than me!
Any chance that you can include an option to exclude being matched with someone from your own school?
^Agreed. Also, it may be helpful to have the "other" schools to type in their school name so they don't get matched with their school.

Hi there! This has been so much fun--thank you! Are you doing round 5 submissions? The form is locked. Thank you!
Hi round 5 is now active! You can go to the "sign up" page to find the link / form. Thanks!

Any chance you can avoid matches with people from the same school? (for the smaller schools at least) I've gotten matched with my friends haha
Thanks!
